Staff tend to feel more engaged when they feel connected to the community they work in. Keep your staff apprised of the various ways they can become involved and interactive with others outside of their usual work environment.

There are a number of events and associations staff members may engage in to get involved and meet others in the UCI community. Staff are encouraged to participate in formal and informal events such as
training classes, lectures, staff committees (e.g. Staff Assembly and CUCSA), open houses, and other types of events that promote learning, sharing and meeting other staff.
