ANSWER

When an employee is assigned responsibilities of a higher level position or other significant duties not part of the employee’s regular position for more than 30 days, they may be provided extra compensation for that time.

For employees covered by a collective bargaining agreement, refer to the contract for guidance.

The stipend amount cannot exceed 15 percent of the employee’s base salary and may not exceed twelve months.
