Role of Supervisor
Supervisors must be aware of policies and procedures in regards to:
- Leaves
- Hiring
- Layoffs
- Disciplinary action
- Scheduling changes
- Scheduling accommodations
- Etc.
If not compliant with policies and procedures, supervisors may be liable for any repercussions that occur. When in doubt, supervisors should consult with their manager and a UCI Campus HR Business partner. Full compliance with procedures will minimize and prevent liability on the part of the supervisor.
